Rent A Car in The Philippines




You're looking for a rent-a-car service in the Philippines? Before you will rent a car you let me tell you some pointers on when and how to rent a car in the Philippines.

Rent-A-Car requirements

Usually this is what they will ask you to bring in order to rent a car. Valid I.D. such as passport, or company ID. You must have a professional or non-professional drivers license issued by LTO Philippines. You probably need to submit a photocopy of your driver's license. Some car rental services requires billing statement and credit cards.

Rental Period

The rental period usually last for 24 hours. And they will charge you certain percentage if you return it more than 24 hours. The extension rate usually ranges to 10-20% rate of the car per hour. If you will going to extend the rental period you must tell the car rental service in advance to avoid much bigger penalties and hassles.

Payment Mode and Rates

Cash is the most preferred payment for this car rental services. The price usually ranges to 2000php to as high as 7000php depends on the model of the car. Renting vans are the most expensive, rental price usually ranges 5000Php to 7000Php.

Accident waiver

Usually depends on the contract that you've sign up. But to give you an idea, you are liable to pay a certain minimum amount if any damage was made on the car. Or you will pay a maximum amount (around 7000) + certain percentage (around 20%) of the cost of the damage. So it's not really cheap. This is the risk that is somewhat you should be aware of. Always drive safely, you can save money and hassle. Basically you are responsible for any scratch or damage on the car. So stay sharp in your driving.

Car Rental Services

There are lots of car rental services company out there. Be sure to find the cheapest rental rate, and the one that don't imposed expensive penalties. Also you can check if you they offer cheap driver rates.

Sedan - Toyota Corola, Honda City, Honda Civic, Honda Jazz, Toyota Avanza, Toyota Vios, Honda Accord, Toyota Altis, Mitsubishi Lancer, Toyota Camry

Vans - Toyota Super Grandi, Hyundai Starex, Mitsubshi L300, Toyota Revo, Toyota Innova, Mitsubishi Adventure

Basically these are the cars that you can rent. You will shoulder your gas consumption. So choose the car that is energy efficient. Usually the newer the model, the higher the rental rate.
